My Rating: 5/5
Every once and a while, there is a book that comes along that really affects me. This was one of them. I'd never read anything by Sara Zarr prior to this although I'm totally sold on her after this novel. Her style is very reminiscent of Sarah Dessen which I think we can all appreciate. This was just such a beautiful story based on true friendship. Jenna and Cameron were such three dimensional characters with fully etched pasts that made my heart ache. It was interesting to see what they'd gone through when both were children and how differently their lives had turned out when older, how they'd grown into young adults and what they'd gone through to get there. This story starts off magnificently and it ends just as well. I really can't say more other than everyone should read this book. It's truly that amazing.
